MatchPlay Day 1 June 14th

Format

• Entry will be first come, first served
• Players will be grouped by rating
• Each group will contain 4 players or if 3 they all play each other

Match Schedule

Each player will receive:

• 2 best-of-five matches during the day

Morning:

• First round matches

Afternoon:

• Winners play winners in their group
• Losers play each other

Important Information

• Players must be available from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM with no allowance for change of match times. If you can't commit to the full day please do not enter. Obviously they do not have to be there all day just play their match and referee and then come back for their second match but they must be available at all times of the day. If we start to juggle around for people it simply will not work.
  • We do not expect the day to last this long, but we must allow enough court time
• After each match, players will referee the following match, just like in tournaments
• Match times will be sent out by the Wednesday before the event-Nobody will find out who they play until they arrive.
• Parents are welcome to watch, but must remain upstairs
• No coaching will be allowed
  • This includes Stait Squash coaches
  • Players will work through matches independently, which is a great learning experience
  • No videoing matches either at this stage. Let the kids just play and compete.
